The game ended in a 3-3 tie as both teams battled to the final horn. Early in the first period Ryan Butterfield opened the scoring for Wood before two minor penalties slowed the action; then Shake it Off stormed back in the second with Scott Harmatiuk, Kaden Doell, and Christian Menard all finding the net to level the contest. Wood answered in the second as Yvan Pattyn and Parker Fazio scored, keeping the game knotted and tense through the final minutes. The game included some penalties, and both goaltenders finished the 40-minute affair representing their teams. Both squads showed plenty of competitive spirit in a lively, evenly matched game.
