Rod Manchester opened the scoring in the first period off assists from Ryan Hendren and Richard Duval, and Wayne Hofer added an insurance goal in the third period, both goals beat Ray Audette. The game included some penalties with Ed Neufeld and Leonard Daeninck each serving two-minute minors. Both teams showed competitive spirit and finished the contest on their respective goalkeepers.
