Sno-King Jr. Thunderbirds edged the Portland Jr. Winterhawks 2-1 after an overtime winner. Ryan Heideman opened the scoring in the first period for Sno-King, and Tucker Fox evened it for Portland in the second with helpers from Juan Pablo Hernandez-Abud and Lex Wood. The game featured spirited goaltending from Colton Adam and Oliver Frank with numerous saves and the game included some penalties, including a misconduct to Owen Brown late in the third. Kolten Peterson delivered the decisive OT goal to seal a hard-fought victory for the Thunderbirds, and both teams showcased great competitive energy throughout.
