Boise Jr. Steelheads 16u AA rolled to a 9-0 victory over the 16u Portland Jr. Winterhawks. Boise struck early with Henrik Smith and Porter Bickford scoring in the first, then poured it on in the second with goals from Robert McSweeney III, Thomas Howell, Daniel Beeler, Cash Newton and another Smith tally to build a decisive lead. In the third Portland saw Frank replace Webster in net and Boise added late goals from Bickford and Beau Caple while both nets were kept busy with several saves recorded. The game included some penalties, and both teams showcased spirited play and hustle throughout the contest.
