Portland Jr. Winterhawks took a 5-1 victory over the Tacoma Rockets 14U AA. Portland pulled away in the second with goals from Jackson Kornegay and Russell Lavery Van Parijs, and added three more in the third from Collin Heim, Luke Talbert, and another by Van Parijs to seal the win; Tacoma’s Stone Moon replied with a second-period goal. Both goalies were busy all game—Paxson Kasper and Karter Peterman made numerous saves—and the teams played with edge as the game included some penalties. It was a lively, competitive matchup that showcased strong offense from Portland and resilient goaltending from both sides.
