Manitoba Herd rolled to a dominant 17-1 victory over the PhD Pumas. The Herd exploded early with multiple first-period strikes including a hat trick from Boyd Becenko and goals from Darson Couchene and Zane Guibouche, and they kept up the pressure through the second with Landyn Tait-Reaume, Sterling Forbister Jr., Owen Shields and others piling on while Riley Cabrera provided the lone reply for the Pumas. Special teams and emotions had their moments—the game included some penalties—but the Herd’s depth and finishing were the story as they continued to score across all three periods.
