Board Roles & Responsibilities

Member at Large (2) *

There are a total of five members at large on the Big Walnut Lacrosse Association board. Two positions are currently open. These members are responsible for 1) attending as many board and executive board meetings as possible; 2) helping guide the direction of the program by offering personal insights into the BWLAX experience, areas for improvement, and suggestions for future programs; and 3) attending and helping to ensure the success of as many BWLAX-sponsored events as possible.

Committees

As a member of the board, you will be asked to join one or more of our committees. The following are open positions.

PCA Coordinator / Culture Keeper *

The PCA Coordinator helps to guide the process of creating an organizational culture that promotes our mission and works with Volunteer Coordinator and others to establish and advertise events throughout the year that support the mission, create a positive family atmosphere, and increase the fun level for players.

Facility & Fields Manager *

The Facility & Fields Manager 1) oversees all training areas (fields, stadiums, indoor rentals) for practices and games; 2) reserves facilities based on season / teams’ schedules; and 3) ensures facilities are ready for play (mowing, painting, standing water, etc); work can be done by another person; options for contracting with a paid service for some things.
