Hello Lakers Families,
 
Due to new public health restrictions, the board of directors has decided to cancel the remaining skills sessions to prepare for the upcoming winter season.  Currently the MBANS season is still set to start January 16th. We will issue a $10 credit for each skills session that was cancelled due to COVID-19 that can be used for the 2021/2022 season.
 
Originally, registration was set to close yesterday, but we have decided to extend the deadline for registration until December 10th.  Also, due to all the uncertainty with this upcoming season, we have decided to change our refund policy.  Below is a timeline of how we hope to proceed with registration, team selections and refunds.  Our timeline is based on information that is available at this time and therefore with the hope that we will have access to the gyms beginning December 10th. 
  • December 10: registration for winter season closes
  • December 14: 18th - team selections (all groups may not have team selections due to registration numbers)
  • December 14: registration will open for Junior Lakers - set to start in January.
  • December 31: full refunds will be offered until this time
  • January 1-January 15: teams will begin practises.  During this time we will offer full refunds less an admin charge of $25.
  • January 16/17: games are set to begin with MBANS
We have reached out to the Metro Basketball Association to see how refunds will work if the season is stopped short - we will communicate this to parents as soon as we know.  
 
If you have already sent a request for a refund for this upcoming season we ask that if you still want the refund after reading the new policies please send another email to our treasurer (treasurer@dartmouthlakers.ca)
