Hello Everyone, 

Welcome to East Rock Shuffleboard Winter 2020! We have a full roster of 12 teams. Four returning and eight new teams! This doubles the number of teams from our previous seasons. 

The detailed schedule is now available under the schedule tab on our Teamlink website. Since we have so many first time teams, I wanted to provide some more information to you all about the schedule and other happenings. 

Duration: Our first night of league play is Thursday, January 9th. Our "regular season" will run 6 weeks concluding on Thursday, February 13th. Unlike every other week, the week of the 13th each team only has 1 scheduled game opposed to the usual two. We will use the second half of the 13th's session to play any and all makeup games. The following two weeks, February 20th & 27th will be our playoffs to decide the champion. 

Scheduling Structure: Each team will play two games each week. Instead of playing each team twice like in previous seasons, you will now only play each team once during the "regular season".  When creating the schedule I attempted to make sure that your second game is no more than an hour after your first on any given week (although I cannot guarantee this). I also made sure to schedule the teams that play the latest games on a given week are scheduled to play the earliest games on the following week. 

Games: As returning players will know, our games are scored and recorded on a trust system. There is no official refereeing each game and recording scores. Each week a Weekly Score Sheet will be left out to record the games. I included a copy of what week 1's score sheet will look like at the bottom of this post. As each game is played you will circle the winner and record the final score. I will then upload the scores to Teamlink each week so you will have an idea of where your team is in the standings. 

We play games of Knockoff. It is pretty easy to pick up if you haven't played before. I included an image of our rules sheet below as well. 

Absences: If a single member of a team cannot make a given week, substitutes are allowed. We just ask you have one of your primary team members present. If you know your entire team cannot make a given week, please let me know asap. Texting me is probably the quickest way to reach me, my cell is 203-993-4630. Games that are missed will be added to the bottom of the weekly score sheet where they can be made up at any point when there is free time.
