What Makes This Opportunity Exciting?
The Ramblers Basketball Club is a completely independent program and is NOT affiliated with or a replacement for South Buncombe Youth Basketball! Players are welcome to participate in BOTH programs! ABYBL has expressed a willingness to work with us to
minimize scheduling conflicts for players participating in both leagues. The Ramblers Basketball Club will provide a competitive, organized basketball experience focused on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competition against teams throughout Buncombe County. Our goal is to create additional opportunities for young athletes in our community to develop their basketball skills and enjoy the game.
Who Can Participate?
We are moving forward with plans to offer teams in the following divisions:
● 1st–2nd Grade Girls
● 1st–2nd Grade Boys
● 3rd–4th Grade Girls
● 3rd–4th Grade Boys
● 5th–6th Grade Girls
● 5th–6th Grade Boys
Participation is open to students who live within the TC Roberson school district, attend a school in the TC Roberson district, or attend Veritas Christian Academy, subject to league eligibility requirements.

● 1st–2nd Grade: 1-hour practices
● 3rd–6th Grade: 1.5-hour practices
Younger teams will receive priority for earlier practice times. Our goal is to have al weeknight practices completed by 8:30 PM, preferably earlier. We have secured gym space at local schools to accommodate our teams.

● 1st–2nd Grade: 8 regular-season games, primarily Saturdays
● 3rd–4th Grade: 10 regular-season games, Saturdays and weeknights
● 5th–6th Grade: 12 regular-season games, Saturdays and weeknights

How Will Teams Be Formed?
For 3rd–4th Grade Boys and 5th–6th Grade Boys and Girls, we anticipate offering A and B teams based on player evaluations and skill levels. For the other divisions, teams will be divided as evenly as possible to create balanced competition. Our goal is to provide as many opportunities for players as possible. However, team availability will depend on
the number of interested players, volunteer coaches, and available gym space.
Evaluations will help determine final team placement.
We Need Coaches, Too!
Volunteer coaches will be essential to making the Ramblers Basketball Club successful!
If you are interested in serving as a head coach or assistant coach, please indicate that on the signup form. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping young athletes develop their skills, learn teamwork, and enjoy the game of basketball.
What About the Cost?
Cost is $100 per player.
This covers uniforms, gym rentals, league fees, and other program expenses.
Please share this information with other eligible families!
We are incredibly excited to launch the Ramblers Basketball Club and bring another youth basketball opportunity to families in the TC Roberson community. Our goal is to build a strong, sustainable, independent basketball program that gives young athletes the
