Wheelers FC 5–2 Potros FC

What a way to finish. Wheelers FC produced their most emphatic performance of the season at exactly the right moment, sweeping aside a dangerous Potros side 5–2 to sign off the regular season as the team to beat.

This was a statement. The goals were shared across the side, with Adesoye Agboola, Kale Wilson, Ariyo Omotayo and Johnbosco Opara (57') all on target. But the headline, once again, belonged to an unlikely source: goalkeeper Adebowale Oshitayo stepped up to convert a penalty on 35 minutes — his fourth goal of the season, an astonishing tally for a keeper and surely the individual story of the BSCL campaign.

Potros FC gave it everything and found the net twice through Carlos Mejia (22', penalty) and Daniel Mclachlan (72'), but they simply could not live with the leaders on the day. The afternoon ended on a sour note, too, with two late red cards compounding their disappointment. They'll need to regroup quickly with the playoffs to come.

For Wheelers, though, this was the perfect send-off — top of the table and firing on all cylinders as the biggest games of the season arrive.

Fire Brigade Sporting FC 1–1 Warriors FC

The final game of the regular season ended all square, as Fire Brigade Sporting FC and Warriors FC played out a hard-fought 1–1 draw.

Both sides had something to prove, and neither was willing to give an inch in a tight, competitive contest. Nelson Flores was on the scoresheet for Warriors, but Fire Brigade dug in to claim a share of the spoils in a fitting, closely-matched end to the regular campaign — a reminder of how even this league has become.

Both teams will take something from the result as they turn their attention to the playoffs, where the slate is wiped clean and everything is on the line.
