HERE IS A POST I FOUND AND I AGREE WITH IT 100%
Youth football is losing its purpose because too many adults have forgotten who the game is supposed to be about.
Kids don't sign up to be part of politics, recruiting battles, social media drama, or trophy chases. They sign up to learn the game, make friends, build confidence, and be part of something bigger than themselves.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to win. Competition teaches valuable lessons. But when winning becomes more important than development, character, and the experience of the children, we've missed the mark.
The best programs aren't measured by how many all-stars they recruit or how many rosters they can stack. They're measured by how many kids come back year after year, how many players improve from the first practice to the last game, and how many young athletes leave the program more confident than when they arrived.
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, play, and develop regardless of skill level. Some kids dream of playing at the highest level. Others simply want to put on a jersey, be part of a team, and have coaches who believe in them. Both deserve the same respect and opportunity.
Youth sports should be about teaching discipline, teamwork, accountability, resilience, and sportsmanship. The trophies eventually collect dust, but the lessons kids learn and the memories they make can last a lifetime.
Let's get back to developing players, supporting families, building our communities, and remembering that the game belongs to the kids not the adults.
