Parent Meeting Highlights 2026
Good Afternoon all!
We want to thank those who attended the parent meeting last week. For those who missed, we wanted to share the highlights of this meeting to keep you all in the loop. If for any reason you have questions, please reach out directly to one of our board memers!

This year we are opening up several Trustee positions. The role of a trustee can be further outlined in the contract we have set up for those individuals who are interested to sign up. This would involve support for events and all home games. Your attendance would be required to help us run these events and would give you the opportunity to earn back your registration costs. If you are interested, please reach out to a board member so we can get you involved.
Parent Volunteers: It will be a requirement for you to volunteer your time per child in the progam. We will be putting together a digital sign up for this once we have dates for games and events set. A sign up for flower delivery will be going out shortly! Lack of participation with volunteer opportunities will result in a $50 fee to be charged to your account.
Grades 3-6: We will remain in the SWBL. This is the new league we joined last year and proved to be a great source of competition for our program.
Cheer: Our intent is to host our own cheer comp. We recognize the challenges we faced as we attempted to do this last year and are working towards locking a date for this competition in so that we may send out the invites to squads across the area, earlier. For those new to our program, cheer camp is very important. This camp provides each team's specific cheer comp, hello cheer, and intro to their routine. While it is not mandatory is it very highly recommended that your child attends.
Flag (grades 1-2): We are working with Shawnee and Tecumseh again for our flag participants. We currently do not have any days or a final count on number of participants. There is potential that we may change our association for flag to another program. We acknowledge the issues from this past season and are working diligently to make improvements. As we have finalized this information we will be sharing that with our flag football and cheer families.
Spring fundraiser: As put out previously, this is an optional fundraiser that is aimed to help offset unifrom costs. If you have more than one child in the program you will only need to submit one flower order form. If you choose to submit any of the "fill my bow/football" fundraiser you are welcome to do both. All funds collected will be put into one "family" account and will be deducted appropriately at the time of uniform ordering.
Unifroms:
Cheer uniform fittings will be on April 28th at KR. A detailed time frame for each grade will be posted soon. We understand that you may have other obligations. We simply ask that you do your best to attend during your child's designated time. We will also only have one fitting date for this. Again we realize that Spring is a busy time but we ask that you please attend this fitting so you child can be appropriately fitted for their uniform. A digital fitting pass will be put out to everyone for this event so that you may submit your sizes as you are fit for each piece of unifrom. You will need your phone to input all of this information. At the time of checkout, money will be due for your uniform. Cash, check, or venmo is accepted. If you are using fundraiser credits for your unifrom you may do so at checkout as well. More info will go out to our cheer families as we get closer to fittings. Football uniform fittings will be on April 27th. This fitting will only be for our tackle football participants grades 3-6. We will put out information on specific timing for each grade to attend. If your child will be using the program's helmet and shoulder pads, they will be fitted for those at this time as well so attendance is important. If for any reason your child will be using their own helmet and pads, we will need specific information on their helmet and you will be required to sign a waiver for use of your own shoulder pads. If you intend to buy your own helmet, on your own, we ask that you please reach out to Kyle Norris or Luther Henderson on the specific requirements of the helmet as the league rules have changed and many helmets may be considered inelligible. This season we will not be offering to order any shoulder pads through our program. You are welcome to purchase your own through whatever retailer you choose. At the time of checkout for uniform fittings, your final balance will be due. Cash, check, and venmo will be accepted. If you choose to use your credits those will be available to use at that time.
NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AS WE MUST SUBMIT UNIFROM ORDERS IN ORDER TO HAVE THEM IN TIME FOR THE SEASON. PLEASE SHARE WITH ANYONE YOU KNOW THAT MAY NOT HAVE REGISTERED YET.
