Please review the following guidelines:
- Conduct: Each team will be issued two warnings. If any fighting occurs, the entire team will be disqualified immediately.
- Gameplay: Stiff arms to the chest only and hip dipping are both permitted. Hip dipping with stiff arms is at the players' discretion and will not result in a foul.
- Player Eligibility: Gameplay is 7 on 7. Any team may play with 6. Teams without 6 players on the field at the start of the game forfeit that game. The Center is the only ineligible receiver on the offensive line, therefore there are no line formations. Center will be on the line of scrimmage.
-Player Registration and Team Roster: Once a player registers and plays in at least one game, they are no longer eligible to re-register or play for another team within the tournament.
Please ensure that all participants are aware of this rule to avoid any potential eligibility issues.
- Fees: Referee costs are already incorporated into the captain and player registration fees.
- Uniforms: All players must wear matching jerseys or shirts of the same color. These must include number on the front and back. Wearing shorts or pants with pockets is at the player's risk. If a pocket is grabbed during play, it will not result in a clutching or holding call.
- Equipment: Shiestys, gaiters, and beanies are permitted to be worn during play.
- Tournament Format: Pool play will consist of 15-minute halves with clock stopping under 2 mins. The playoffs and the championship game will move to 20-minute halves. Pro rules in second half of any game. Each team plays a minimum of two regular games for playoff seeding. Tie-breaker is head-to-head (if applicable) followed by points against and then margin of victory. All teams make playoffs (guaranteed min of three games). Single Elimination Playoff (no reseeding each round). Forfeited games will count as played games and will result in a 21-0 for the winning team. Points wil count for seeding as well!
- Please note that the flags must cross the plane of the endzone in order to count for a score.
-Please be advised that there will be no punts or kickoffs during the games. Instead, the starting line of scrimmage for both teams will be the 5-yard line and/or the first cone from the front of the end zone, inluding start of game.
-Please note that while players are allowed to jump for the ball, hurdling other players is not allowed. Please ensure that all participants are aware of this distinction to maintain safety and fair play.
-Center snaps the ball must be placed on the ground and snapped between the legs. The center can snap it to anyone on the field as long as that player is not lined up on the LOS. The Center is protected when he snaps the ball. The center cannot be touched until they raise their head or take a step. Safety issue. Center loses this protection when the QB is under Center.
-Flags must be Flag A Tag “Sonic Boom Pop” or Shroomz flags. 2 flags per belt. Shirts or jerseys MUST BE tucked into shorts to allow maximum exposure of flags.
- In regards to the rules above, all other BCFFL rules apply during all BCFFL events.
Please let us know if you have any questions regarding these policies.
