Player Code of Conduct

All registered players in the Berks County Flag Football League, herein referred to as “THE BCFFL” shall adhere to the league’s Code of Conduct.
This code shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

1: Smoking, consumption or use of any illegal drugs or drinking of alcoholic beverages WILL NOT be allowed at any BCFFL at sanctioned events.
2: No weapons of any kind shall be possessed during BCFFL sanctioned events. This also includes threatening produce a weapon with the intent to do harm to any fan, player, coach, team staff member, referee, or any member of the BCFFL administrative staff. A weapon is defined as any object that may cause serious bodily injury or death to another person, even if that said object is not designed to do so.
3. Fighting before a game, during a game or after a game will NOT be tolerated. This rule applies to any other BCFFL sanctioned events.
4. No player shall engage in any dialogue that is deemed physically threatening in any way outside of the constraints of a football game with any fan, player, coach, team staff member, referee, or any member of the BCFFL administrative staff. This dialogue will not be tolerated in any form, be it in a face to face situation, in written form, on social media platforms, or telephonically (verbal or text messages). There will be a zero tolerance of any talk specifically involving guns or gun use, direct or implied, verbal or written. This will be strictly enforced and the violation of this rule, at minimum, will be cause for removal from any league public forums. Dialogue will include, but not limited to, threat of physical harm, offensive language, racial language, personal verbal attacks outside the scope of football, or any terms used to instigate another party.

These standard rules shall stand as the base foundation for player conduct league-wide for the entirety of the 2025 BCFFL FLAG FOOTBALLSEASON. This Code of Conduct will be adhered by anyone associated with any THE BCFFL organization (player, coach, staff). At any time, the league and its officials reserve the right to amend this Code of Conduct as needed. A league-wide announcement will be made of said additions or amendments. All teams shall assume sole responsibility to inform their players of said changes. All changes will take effect immediately upon announcement. Failure to adhere to any of these rules will result in disciplinary action by the league, including but not limited to, removal from any league public forums, game(s) suspension, monetary fine or permanent expulsion from THE BCFFL. All sanctions will be implemented and enforced by BCCFL officials after review of all factors involved in the incident and the past history of BCFFL incidents involving said person.
