Nominations for the 2026/2027 Board of Directors, constitutional and By-law changes will be taking place.
Anyone wishing to nominate an individual for a position on the Board may submit the nomination to
the Secretary Sarah Martin at martinsa1004@yahoo.ca and to the President Alecia Boucock at bmha.president1@gmail.com
If anyone would like to make a constitutional or By-law change can submit the change to Sarah and Alecia on or before March 25th, 2026
We are also accepting Nominations for the Wally White Award
Nominations can be forwarded to Sarah Martin along with a brief description describing why the possible recipient should be chosen at martinsa1004@yahoo.ca

Board of Directors and Executive Elections
1.1 Elections
a) Nominations and/or volunteers for the Board of Directors will be accepted in writing to the Secretary or President at least 24 hours prior to the Annual Meeting or orally at the Annual Meeting. Any voting delegate is eligible for election as a director provided, they accept the nomination verbally at the meeting or in writing to the Secretary or President prior to the Annual Meeting. The individual must be in good standing to run for a position on the Board, as dictated under Hockey Canada and all governing bodies.
b) Voting shall be by ballot or by standing vote for the Executive. A 2/3 majority of all members present and a quorum of 50+1% of members of the Executive.
c) If the positions are not filled, the Executive may choose to fill the vacancies after the Annual Meeting.
d) The Board of directors’ positions shall be brought forth at the AGM. Any vacancies of Directors positions may be filled later by the executive.
e) Each Executive position shall be for a 2-year term unless the incumbent wishes to step down from their position early. Eligibility for any Executive position is at least (1) year prior BMHA board experience. The executive positions will be on alternating years as follows: President, Secretary, Rules and Discipline and Registrar starting 2023/2024 season to be re-elected for the odd years season and onwards. Vice President, Treasurer, Risk and Safety, and Referee in Chief starting 2024/2025 season to be re-elected for the even years season and onwards."
