Get ready to play, learn, improve and belong with North Bay Minor Girls Softball’s six-session Skill Development Program! Designed to help young athletes build strong fundamentals, gain confidence and deepen their understanding of the game, this program offers a positive and encouraging environment where every player can grow.

Each session features a different theme. Athletes will begin by getting Back to Basics, focusing on throwing, receiving, fielding and hitting fundamentals. They will then Know Their Position by learning defensive responsibilities, where to go with the ball, backups and communication. Our exciting Costume Day session will add Halloween fun to skill competitions, themed drills and hitting and fielding challenges.

Later sessions will focus on running the bases, including rounding bases, tagging up and sliding. During Smart Softball, athletes will learn game awareness through situational play, cutoffs, relays, force plays and team communication. The program concludes with Put It All Together, featuring a complete skill review, game situations, competitions and fun mini-games.

Sessions take place on October 3, October 17, October 31, November 13, November 27 and December 12 at Panthers Sportsplex, located at 60 Commerce Court in North Bay. U9–U13 athletes train from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., while U15–Open athletes train from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

All six sessions are available for only $100. Athletes should bring a glove, running shoes, fielding mask and water bottle to every session.
