The Henry County Parks and Recreation, along with the Henry County Police and the National Police Athletics Leagues, hosted an electrifying event on January 4th, 2025. With the support of dedicated volunteers, including WNBA Vet Rushia Brown and other seasoned women's basketball athletes, the Play Like A Girl initiative was a thrilling success. Over 165 young girls were introduced to the game of basketball in a safe and positive environment, surrounded by WNBA talent and many women basketball phenoms. The event was a true celebration of the sport, thanks to the participants, parents, city and county leaders, sponosrs and all the hardworking individuals of the Henry County Parks and Recreation department, as well as the Police Department and the National PAL. It was an event to remember, filled with excitement and passion for the game.
