The following is from the City of Peterborough in regards to the new twin pad arena being constructed on Lansdowne Street. We hope to use this rink next season, as such any help with fundraising for the facility is appreciated!

Miskin Law Community Complex Seat Donor Program

Hello,

The City’s newest community complex is nearing completion, with construction on target to be completed this fall. Miskin Law Community Complex will feature two ice pads, an elevated indoor walking/running track, a Peterborough Public Library branch and two multi-purpose rooms.

As part of the community fundraising campaign to support the construction of the City’s newest community complex, our organization is supporting the project by engaging with our members and supporters to share the information on the Seat & Bench Donor Program. Funds raised will be allocated in support of furniture, fixtures and equipment costs in the building.

The campaign is now open and will run until December 31, 2024 or until all seats and benches are secured.

To assist with user groups fundraising efforts, the City built an online portal where people can make their donation to a seat and /or bench in this facility. The portal will process your donation, provide information for recognition, and issue a donation receipt all in one stop on the City of Peterborough website. www.peterborough.ca/haveaseat

Every seat donation will be recognized with a printed name plate that will be installed on the front of one of the fixed arena seats. Every bench donation will be recognized with a printed name plate at either end of a fixed bench row in the arena.

A total of 500 fixed seats and 20 fixed benches will be installed at the new Miskin Law Community Complex. Each pad will have 250 seats and 10 spectator benches.

Each seat donation is $250 and each bench donation is $1,000.

A charitable tax receipt for your full donation amount will be issued by the City of Peterborough and emailed upon payment and completion of the form.

Once the campaign closes, the City will have all the seat recognition plates printed and installed at the facility, in 2025.
