2026 Official Technical Package

Everything coaches, club directors, and team managers need to know before, during, and after the season. Read this document carefully — deadlines are firm and participation requirements are strictly enforced.

Age groups

CMBA does not permit over-age players under any circumstances. Proof of age can be requested at any time by league officials and must be produced in accordance with the CMBA Proof of Age Policy.

Registration & fees

●  Sportsmanship Deposit — $300

Returned at season's end if the club is in good standing. Deposit is forfeited for: missed/forfeited games, or SCC discipline resulting in coach or parent suspensions. All CMBA disciplinary action carries over to all CMBA sanctioned events.

Coaching requirements

CMBA Staff ID Card — Required to be on the bench
All three steps must be completed and uploaded by your category's deadline.
Failure to complete all three steps by your deadline will result in being denied bench access, forfeiting any games coached without a card, and potential SCC discipline including suspension or removal from the league. Cards will be available for pickup at least 1 week before your first game.

Participation rules

Player Eligibility
No athlete may participate on two teams within CMBA Spring League (3x3 League excepted).
An athlete playing in Club Weeknight cannot play in Club Weekend league.
An athlete may not participate for two organizations within CMBA Spring League.
An athlete may not play on two teams from the same organization.
All participants must meet age requirements. Any violation results in immediate removal and forfeiture of all games played.
Team Registration Requirements
All players must register under their team in RAMP for that team to be considered fully registered.
All teams must provide a copy of their insurance with registration.
Proof of insurance must be on file before your first game — teams without it will be removed without refund.
Registration is through the CMBA website. Maximum 2 teams per club per division.
We encourage all spectators to complete our online Spectator Training.

REC Tournament: All REC tournament games will run time in the final quarter if the score differential is 20 or greater.

Schedule release dates

Playoffs

Playoff format is determined based on performance throughout the season, division numbers, and other factors.
All playoff schedules update based on scores from previous games — it is critical that all scores are entered promptly to determine proper standings.
CMBA will allot 12 medals per team for medal games.
