***Female Hockey for the 2024-2025 Season***
For this upcoming 2024/2025 season, BBMHA would like to offer female only teams for all age levels if enough players are interested. An agreement is in place with a neighboring MHA to provide players a team if BBMHA has insufficient numbers.
What this means is that Associations we will be providing a place for every female player in Eastman to play female hockey on their terms. Whether they want to play co-ed hockey, dual roster on both a female and co-ed team or play single roster female hockey, they will get their opportunity. Here are the options for female players from U9 through U13.
Black out dates will be used to ensure that the female games don’t fall on the same days/time as the co-ed teams, thus eliminating the need for girls to choose which game to attend. Girls on dual roster teams must attend at least 50% of games and practices on their female teams in order to attend provincials.
The goal is to provide girls with development, ensure they are staying in the game and to build the program here in Eastman to increase our numbers at the younger age groups and maintain our numbers all the way to our regional teams.
