Applications/letters of recommendation can be submitted by coaches, parents, or teammates. Letters must support the minimum requirement as well as present examples of the additional characteristics noted.
Requirements
To apply for the Aquastarz Founder’s Award you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Participated in 1 annual Aquastarz Show
- Must be entering 10th grade or above.
To be strongly considered for the award you must demonstrate these characteristics supported by examples:
- Good citizenship
- Hard work
- Teamwork
- Having fun at practice, at the Show, and when representing the team
- A sense of energy when around the team
Review
A team of panelists will review the letters of application. Panelists will include Rose Cholewinski, and 2 other teammates or parents of alumni (must be off the team for 2 years to be on the panel).
Award Amount
The Aquastarz Founder’s Award recipient will receive up to $500. The Aquastarz Founder’s Award will be given each year by SwimAmerica-Davis as long as SwimAmerica-Davis is owned and operated by Rose Cholewinski.

The Award recipient will be announced at the Team Banquet by Rose Cholewinski or another panelist.
