Coaches once you are assigned to a team please reach out with a welcome letter and set up a parent meeting within 2-3 days. Template letters can be found below in the letter welcome letter section. For what to cover in the parent meeting see the parent meeting information section.
It is mandatory that at least one coach from your team attend the Coaching Clinics for your age group. The dates and times will be sent out when the coaches are determined. It is preferred that all coaches attend as that way both can receive content and instruction.

Coach goals for T-Ball division:
Routine – Try to introduce routine and introduce the organization. Make kids sit and listen when talking.
Grip – All players need to demonstrate proper 4 seam grip.
Throwing – players should be able to throw a ball using over the top throw.
Catching - Players should be able to perform 2 hand catch. Using proper below and above the waist catches. "Catching Circle" - Ball Above the waste glove up
Below the waist basket catch.
Grounders – players should know how to set up and receive a ball on the ground. Hand in front other over top to close after the ball is received “Alligator”
Batting – Players should be able to hit a ball off a tee. Players should be able to walk up to the plate and get ready without much help. Coaches may work toward coach pitch second half of the season.
Running bases – players should know to advance to the next base on a hit. Know where each base is. Run bases call out the base as you touch it.
Flyballs – players should attempt this but other skills at this level are more important. Introduce glove up get under ball 2 hands to catch. The latter half of the season.

Positions – Players must learn the positions and responsibilities of each position.
Base Running – Players must be able to watch, and advance based on seeing the ball being hit. Coaches encourage players to watch the batter and coaches. Sliding should be covered in the latter part of the season or introduced in the minor division.
Catching - Players must exhibit and catch using proper glove positions "catching circle" ball Above the waste glove up below the waist basket catch.
Throwing - Proper arm actions are key and a must end of the season all should be able to do shuffle throws or 2 step throws.
Grounders – All players should be able to field grounders work on moving to the ball. Always between legs left and right of the players. Work on receiving and making the play to a base set up for first or third.
Flyballs – All players should be able to catch a fly ball above the head. Catching and setting up for the throw, introduce cut-off relay the ball to second.
Batting – Work on swing grip, all players should know how to line up at the plate. Work on upper body swing with a solid stance. Later in the season introduce hips and lower body movement.
