RCBA - High School Girls

There has been interest shown in a High School Girls program.  We will have to determine the format of the program after we know how many girls are interested in participating.

  • If we have at least 40 players we can offer 1 practice and 1 game per week.
  • If there are between 20 & 39 we will set up a specific time each week that they will meet for 30 minutes of practice followed by creating teams and playing games.  This will mean they would get to play with different players each session.  What an opportunity to make new friends.
  • If there are less than 20 the program will be cancelled.  A full refund would be provided according to the refund policy.

Skill development, fun, and fair play are the RCBA's 3 main goals for players in every division. The league regularly evaluates its programs to ensure these goals are being met.

Important Dates

Registration opens:  October 1, 2022
Registration closes:  Dec 11, 2022

Coaching

Coaches are always needed in the RCBA! If you are interested in coaching a specific player (no experience necessary) the RCBA can/will provide training tools to assist new coaches.

For more information about coaching in the RCBA please visit our Coaches Area. If you have any questions regarding coaching, please contact the office: rcba@sasktel.net or call (306) 584-3222

The following information only applies if there are at least 40 registered.

Team Selection

When drafting teams, we take into account the nights of availability for each player and other activities they participate in. The RCBA does take player requests in this division - if your player has a friend/friends they wish to play with, please email the requests to rcba@sasktel.net or add it directly onto your registration.

Games

Game format is 5v5. Zone defense is not allowed during season. Person to Person pressing is allowed. Game sessions are 75 minutes.

Scoring

Scores are kept & displayed. If the point differential is more than 25pts, coaches have the option to discontinue showing the score. On the RCBA website, scores will ONLY be recorded up to a 25 point differential. This is to discourage teams from running up the score.

Closing Tournament

All teams make it into the playoffs and will have a minimum of 2 games. Playoff brackets will be posted & matchups are determined by the season's final standings.

Scheduling

Practices: Every team practice will be held at the same facility at the same time every week. Practices are 1.5 hours.
Games:  These games are 75 minutes. Game time & location could be different every week.
*Grade 5-12 divisions are considered a city wide program, due to this we cannot guarantee the team's practice facility will be in your end of the city.

Equipment

The following is provided to each player at the beginning of the season:
- RCBA team jersey - this jersey will need to be returned to the RCBA at the end of the season

What is needed for the season?
