OSFL Summer Cup

Kingston, ON – July 12, 2025 — The Kingston Grenadiers are proud to announce that they will host the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL) Summer Cup at Richardson Stadium from July 25 to 27. This high-energy event will feature top youth football teams from across the province, drawing fans, families, and scouts to one of Eastern Ontario’s premier venues.

“We’re proud to collaborate with the OSFL in hosting the Summer Cup at Richardson Stadium,” said Alexandra Reyes-Wash, President of Kingston Grenadiers Football. “Kingston boasts a rich football heritage, and the Grenadiers have been a cornerstone of our community for over two decades. This partnership reflects our ongoing dedication to advancing sport and deepening local connections through football.”

As the largest amateur tackle football event in Ontario, the Summer Cup brings together 42 teams and over 2,500 participants for a championship showcase spanning two weekends and five age-based divisions.

  1. AAA- OSFL Provincial Championship (Finished 1 through 4 within their conference in regular season): U18 - U16 - U14 - U12 - U10
  2. AAA- KJ Kenemy Memorial Cup (Finished 5 through 8 within their conference in regular season): U18 - U16 - U14 - U12
  3. AA - Sandy Ruckstuhl Memorial Cup (Finished 1 through 4 within their conference in regular season):  U18 AA - U16 AA - U14 AA - U12 AA - U10 AA
  4. Dan Grossi Memorial Cup (Finished 5 through 8 within their conference in regular season): U18 AA - U16 AA - U14 AA - U12 AA - U10 AA
  5. Single A Cup: U14 (top 4 teams) and U12 (All eight teams)

“We’re incredibly proud of the continued growth and impact of the OSFL,” says Marny Adams, Chair of the Ontario Summer Football League. “In 2025, we’ve supported over 7,000 young athletes across the province. The passion, dedication, and talent showcased during the Summer Cup are a true reflection of the remarkable efforts of our players, coaches, and communities. We’re thrilled to bring the celebration to Kingston.”

This year’s Summer Cup is a province-wide showcase of youth football excellence. The Brantford weekend will spotlight 18 teams from the U10, U12, and U14A divisions, while Kingston will host 24 teams across U14, U16, and U18 in both the AA and AAA tiers.

The OSFL Summer Cup is more than just a tournament—it’s a celebration of youth athletics, community spirit, and the future of Canadian football. The Kingston Grenadiers are proud to host the upcoming Kingston showcase at Richardson Stadium from July 25–27, with the support of many partners and volunteers. The weekend promises a dynamic celebration of youth athleticism, teamwork, and community spirit. Admission tickets will be available at the gate: $10 for adults and free seniors over 65 and for youth under 12. T

ABOUT THE OSFL

The Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL), Canada’s largest tiered youth football league, continues to make waves in youth sports development. Sanctioned by Football Ontario and Football Canada, the OSFL provides competitive football opportunities for athletes aged 6 to 19, spanning 38 organizations province-wide. With divisions ranging from U10 to U18, and AAA, AA and A tiers, the league fosters high-level competition and personal growth. The season begins in May and culminates in the prestigious OSFL Summer Cup, held in late July. The Kingston Grenadiers Football Club is a not-for-profit organization offering elite youth football in Eastern Ontario since 2004. Competing at the AAA level in the Ontario Summer Football League (OSFL), the Grenadiers field U14, U16 and U18 teams, drawing top talent from six counties across the region.
